Craft Beer
About Craft Beer
Real Beer, produced by craftsmen, in limited quantities without compromise, is the right of all who enjoy that delicate balance of bitter and sweet. From the dyed-in-the-wool ale aficionado, to the foodie and the critic, to the home-brewer and the person looking to quench that sunny Saturday thirst. We believes that it is our right to have access to this product, and aims to put Real Beer in the hands of all South Africans.
Through the We Love Real Beer initiative, breweries, importers, distributors, restaurants, bars and retailers can proudly stand together to further the growth of real, naturally crafted beers.
The main differences between a Real Beer and an industrial beer, can be determined by looking at the elements that make Real Beer so unique.
- Real Beer is brewed in small-batches, by independent brewers.
- Real Beer makes use of 100%, all natural ingredients.
- Real Beer makes use of no additives, preservatives, thickeners or stabilisers.
- Real Beer takes longer to brew.
- Real Beer is available at outlets that choose finely crafted product over marketing budgets.
- Real Beer never cuts corners to save money at the expense of quality and taste.
- Real Beer, most importantly, tastes better.
